Multiple Choice Grid Component

The Multiple Choice Grid component is a versatile tool for creating grid-style questions, ideal for comparing items across different criteria. Respondents can select one option per row, making it perfect for quizzes or surveys.

How to Configure the Multiple Choice Grid

Follow these steps to set up a Multiple Choice Grid in your form:

  1. Question: Enter the main question for your grid. For example, "Match the country to its correct continent."
  2. Description: Provide additional context or instructions to clarify the question. This helps respondents understand the task better.
  3. Image URL: Add a visual aid by pasting the URL of a relevant image. For example, an image showing a world map.
  4. Required: Mark the question as mandatory if you want all respondents to answer it.
  5. Point Value: Assign points to the question. Each row in the grid will carry the same point value (e.g., 5 points per row).
  6. Shuffle Options: Select "Yes" to randomize the order of rows and columns for each respondent. This feature enhances fairness in quizzes.
  7. Define Rows: Enter the row names, such as country names like "Brazil," "Japan," and "Egypt."
  8. Define Columns: Add column headers that correspond to the criteria, such as "Asia," "Africa," "South America," and "Europe."
  9. Correct Answers: Specify the correct answers for each row if you're creating a quiz. For instance, "Brazil - South America," "Japan - Asia," etc.

Adding the Grid to Your Form

Once you've configured the grid, follow these steps to generate your form:

  1. Go to the Extensions menu in Google Sheets.
  2. Select Form Builder Pro and click Generate Form.
  3. In the Generate New Form dialog, provide a name for your form and specify the type (e.g., Quiz).
  4. Click Create and wait for the form to be generated.
