Date Component
The Date component is a versatile feature in Form Builder Pro that allows users to select specific dates from a calendar. This is ideal for surveys, questionnaires, and quizzes requiring a date response. You can even include a time field for added precision.

Why Use the Date Component?
The Date component enhances your data collection process by providing detailed and time-specific responses. Whether you're scheduling appointments, tracking deadlines, or collecting event dates, this component offers the precision you need.
Configuring the Date Component
Follow these steps to set up the Date component:
- Question: Provide the question prompt that will be displayed to respondents. For example, “What is your preferred appointment date?”
- Description: Add extra context or instructions to help respondents. This field is optional but can be useful for clarification.
- Image URL: Include an image to enhance the context or visual appeal of your question.
- No/Required: Decide if this question must be answered. Select Not Required if respondents can skip it.
- Point Value: Assign points to the question, especially useful for quizzes. For this example, we’ll set the value to one.
- Include Time: Select Yes to add a time picker alongside the date field, enabling users to specify both date and time.
- Feedback Text: Optional custom feedback for respondents, guiding them further based on their answers.
- Feedback Link: Provide a link to additional resources or information. This is particularly helpful for educational forms.
Generating the Form
Once the fields are configured, you're ready to generate your form. Here's how:
- Go to the Extensions menu in Google Sheets.
- Select Form Builder Pro and click Generate Form.
- Open the generated form in View Mode to see how the Date component appears.
In View Mode, you'll notice:
- The date question is displayed with a calendar picker.
- If you included the time field, a time picker appears next to the date picker.
- Any feedback text or feedback links provided will be available for respondents, offering them additional information.
Switching to Edit Mode
In Edit Mode, you can fine-tune your question or adjust the feedback fields. For example, the feedback link will be visible within the answer key configuration, ready to guide respondents to further resources.
